Malcolm Crowe Posted July 5, 2021 Share Posted July 5, 2021 Hi Venkat, Can you be a little more specific. For example, are you referring to the 3D Scene, or ICD or CAXA? Last month I had a situation where I lost the cosmetic threads (in the 3D scene and CAXA) on threaded holes that had been created using the "Custom Hole" tool. When I edited these holes, I found that IRONCAD had changed the thread diameter to be the same as the hole diameter. As a result no cosmetic threads were displayed. The fix in my case was (while editing the hole), was to deselect the "Thread" option and then select it again. IRONCAD then applied the correct diameter for the cosmetic thread and the problem was resolved. I had never seen that problem before and haven't since, so don't know what the cause was. I will attach that thread registry file with this message. if anyone has same double just double click it. Something else to be aware of is that any changes you make within the "SmartPaint" dialog box (select part, right-click, SmartPaint) will cause cosmetic threads to disappear, until the part is "Regenerated". Attached is a video demonstrating this for both "Custom Holes" and "Cosmetic Threads" added to extrude cut holes.
