Mike Hatch
If there is one thing we have troubles with its sweeps along a 3D curve, as an example see attached file. 2D Profile1 - sweeps along its curve. 2D Profile2 - does not ?, eventually ending up with a large block and error "path may be too tightly curved or a cross section too large". Profile 2 is the required path of a cable within an assembly, Profile1 a test, the only thing I can get to work. Cary OConnor
Where did the 3D curve come from? There appears to be some issues with it. If I edit it and pull on a tangency handle, you will see there are some reversed or tights turns which is causing the sweep to fail. Was the curve imported? If so, can you attach the import data? Cary OConnor
If I create a new 3D curve by picking points along the imported one, it will work. So there seems to be something with the imported wire.
Mike Hatch
Thanks Cary, the failing curve (#2) was a modified version of #1 with points added by "insert point", redrawing it picking points along the way cured it.
