tlehnhaeuser
I have revently put a request to be able to creta a C0-Axis Constriant between intellishapes from separate parts. In my playing aroundand discovered That I can create a limited version of this. This is how its done. (see attached avi for demo) 1. select threaded hole 2. Use SmartDimension to Bottom of C'Bore hole on other part 3. Edit Smartdimension to 0 and Lock 4. Move C'bore Hole anywhere (Hole will not move, you must edit the smartdiemsion again to 0 and keep locked.Don't know why, but it tyakes the second time) 5. Move C'Bore hole again and now the constrint will "stick" even if you move the part. This works good for holes that are thru holes. For Blind Holes you will need to adjust unless your places are flush together. Hope this helps Tom PS: File won't upload, so you can retrieve by : 1. go to http://www.magnacad.com/login.php 2. Enter "ironcad" in lower case in ALL dialog boxes that pop-up 3. Click wher prompted 4. clcik "Access Your File Space" 5. Download File titled: HoleConstraints.zip HoleConstraints.zip HoleConstraints.zip HoleConstraints.zip
Mike Allen
This is very cool! I notice that until you relock the dimension, the individual holes will still move relative to each other, but moving one of the parts (with zero distance) will snap the holes back together (to the position of the moved hole.) By the way, what codec are you using for the avi? I can't get it to play (Microsoft can't find the correct codec.)
