edge quality display

Being a long time PRO-E user, there is an edge quality display control option in that software to go from what is shown in the the screen capture to a nearly smooth circle. I cannot find or change any IC setting, R2019, to achieve a true or nearly true arc for the circles instead of the polygon shape shown.

For individual parts, you can right-click on the part and go to Part Properties. Click on Rendering and you can adjust the display quality for the facets in that location.

 

For Parts and Assemblies (control all parts below): Click on either and then open the property browser that is embedded with the scene browser. There is a surface smoothness setting in there.

 

To Set the default for parts: Go to Tools/Options/Parts and there is a setting for the default surface smoothness for newly created parts.

Just an additional note that might help you out because i have found it useful at times on large assemblies:

 

There is also a "set smoothness" catalog item in the ICMech Tools that will set the smoothness of all objects in the scene with a drag and drop. This can help with giant assemblies if you need to edit something quickly you can lower the quality and then put it back when you are done.
