dleczynski
Here's an example. 40045[/snapback] so I know that I can, but there is no line bending / annotation bending line.
IronKevin
Probably because its an undevelopable surface.

If the same way you do in a square or circle will be a line.
IronKevin
I have filed an ER for this, incident # 105240. I'm told SolidWorks can't do it either. Looks like you have a special add-on for Mech. Desktop.
dleczynski
Almost done, because I think I get a whole without any problem. He had one more experience with an ellipse? Lines to show and explain, but in the wrong place. asa.ics
IronKevin
Looks like you broke it down to arcs which I should have mentioned before but like you said it looks like we still have some work to do to get all the bend lines in the correct location. This is still fairly new territory for us so I'm sure it will improve in the future.
Cary OConnor
You are on the correct track using lines and arcs. (I'm not sure if you need to break up the arcs as much as you are). That may be causing the overlap or missing lines. Cary

Inventor automatically approximates an ellipse into a set of 4x8 sections. In IRONCAD approximations can be done by exporting DXF R12. I still have a problem with the creation of the model. In addition, Inventor approximation bows and distorts them. ko__322_nierz.rar ko__322_nierz_opis.pdf
