bmckelvie
After I have made a smart dimension i often want to change them, but often I just can not click on the already created smart dimensions to make the change and i get frustrated, delete the part and re add it again. Is there a way to select only smart dimensions?
IronKevin
You have to first select the part that the dimension is attached to, then you can select the dimension itself.
bmckelvie
You have to first select the part that the dimension is attached to, then you can select the dimension itself. 39589[/snapback] That works sometimes, but after i have moved parts around i find I can't select the smart dimension again. even if i have ether of the parts individually selected, or both the parts the parts with the smart dimension between them selected. ITAYLOR
I had same problem... Thanks bmcKelvie for asking the question. Thanks Kevin for the answer: I selected the part, actually a linked pattern of two assemblies (they went 'blue' and didn't work)... But following your advice after more failures... selecting the part again, or double clicking (it went 'yellow'... is that intellishape mode?)... it worked then as I was able to hover over the arrow end of the smart dim (the HAND appeared) and allowed me to select the smart dim (which went vivid thick yellow) and allowed me to delete it. At last! From this problem and post I also learned to goto "COMMON/DISPLAY/SmartDims" and turn them on and off. Jonas@Solidmakarna
Remember that you can find and select SmartDimensions in the Scene Browser as well.
