  1. i think we will switch to 2022 in a few weeks, so i guess i'll just have to wait untill then. thanks for looking in to it anyways!
  2. APposition.mp4 i cleaned up the catalog, only 1 attachmentpoint now. In the previous catalog, I tried entering the full expression in the attachmentpoint page, but in this catalog i made a new parameter in the parameter table (APposition). But that doesn't solve it, aslong as i don't unlock the AP, it won't accept the parametric positioning. I also attached a video to demonstrate it. catalog AP.icc
  3. I've attached a catalog with the closet and the hinges. the top assambly of the closet has a designvariation to make a cutout in the top corner. when i do so, i need the attachmentpoint to go down the same length as the cutout. the expression i need is "IF( (GreeplijstPar == 1); (Sizebox\Height - 78 mm); ((Sizebox\Height - 78 mm) - GreeplijstH) )" but i can't enter it without unlocking the AP first. catalog AP.icc
  4. using a combination of attachment points and parametric expressions, i stumbled upon an issue i can't seem to fix. I have an attachment point on a closet that drives my hinges. I also am able to drive the position of my attachment point by first unlocking it and then entering some parameters in the properties of the assembly where the AP is placed. both these functions work perfectly on there own, but not when i combine them. when I want to drive my AP i need to unlock it first ( it doesn't seem to work when i don't) and by doing so it isn't able to give the necessary info to my hinges. Anyway to fix this or is this a bug in 2021?
  5. with zero development skills i have no idea how to even start working on this, but i'll keep it in mind! @Malcolm Crowe I see where you are going with this, but wouldn't that be the same as dropping the second part first...? kinda defeats the purpose i think. i,d like the 'box' to stay in a specific place. Another simple example i just encountered where this feature would be of use to me is the following: I have a kitchen cabinet that has legs with clamps for the baseboard, both left and right. when i drop in a new cabinet, for example on the right side, i want the right clamp from the first cabinet to be suppressed. because i don't need two clamps so close to each other. i know manually suppressing or deleting these clamps isn't that much work, so it's not that important, but i was just curious. maybe other users could have better use for a feature like this.
  6. is there a way to make the parameters on an attachment point work in the opposite direction? example, i have a standard sized box with an attachment point and when i put an item in the box, i want it to attach to the box and the box to resize to the item. normally it's the other way round, but this seems usefull as well.
  7. indeed, i can't right-click or acces the group Parametrisch. i can still drag the other models into my drawing, but the models in that group are the most important unfortunatly.
  8. hi, i got an internal application error in one of my catalogs, there is a lot of work in this catalog so i really don't want to lose it. i've added the catalog file. it occurs when i right-click and when i want to open the group 'Parametrisch'. Basis Kasten.icc
  9. just one small issue, the parameter doesn't automatically update. i have to click on the sketch to get the actual dimensions. IRONCAD 2020 - [Scene1_] 2021-10-22 08-42-42.mp4
  10. This is excellent Malcolm. this way i'm able to drive my attachmentpoints on assembly level using the parameters on the part level!
  11. i thought as much. would be nice to be able to use a smart dimension as a parameter without having to lock it. thanks!
  12. does anyone know how to create a parameter that is driven by an unlocked distance between two parts/assemblies?
  13. No problem i totally understand. looks very complex indeed thanks for the help!
  14. Hi Malcom, that looks very interesting! This looks very interesting Malcolm. any change to send my the file to investigate it for myself?
  15. the problem is i want to drive my model in 2 direction using 1 attachement. the 1st drawer has to snap in the closet and size to the length. this is not a problem. The frontpanel has to be resizable in length and width (left, right, down, up) so i can change it depending on the positoning of the closet. then i want to put in another drawer, and this one has to snap to the front of the previous one, because i always want 3mm between my frontpanels. but it also has to be aligned with the other drawer. because my frontpanel isn't always centered on the drawer I can't align my attachmentpoint to the center of the panel.
