  1. Thank you, it is these more advanced tasks that need a bit more English learning material, learning the basics of IC was quick and easy but then I hit a wall. Not having the time for trial and error I have had to jump over to a colleagues Inventor or SW desk to model up a design to animate, so it can be presented to clients. A design that requires a lot of Sketching also gets frustrating, as I find the interface much more difficult to work with that other Software packages. I am trying to stick with it, but there have been times the few thousand extra dollars for SW may have seemed worth it, and of course Inventor subscriptions are now just a couple of hundred bucks more than the IC maintenance fee (with Mechanical). I love the Triball and being able to come up with quick concept designs using Intellishapes and other drag and drop features, but unless I can become more knowledgeable and efficient with IC with the more detailed design and I think the company will push me to revert to back Inventor, I hope not and I am prepared to put the time in to master IC but need to material to do it. Thanks again.
  2. I was particularly interested in these: I got asked animate some tooling a few weeks ago and only had a short time to do it, so had to resort to fusion360, i would love to get more proficient with IC. I reference IronCADit and IronCAD Polska for learning IC. Thanks CP
  3. Hi, I have migrated from other CAD systems (Solidworks, Creo, Inventor) and thus far have been enjoying IronCAD, especially the Triball.. I see that IronCAD Poland produce some excellent You tube videos, covering some topics i have struggled with, is there any chance some of these videos can be re produced in English?
  4. Got them thanks, I'm up and running again! Solving this issue was a great experience thank you all for the support, I am a new IronCad user (used Solidworks, AutoCAD products in the past) and have recently moved from fusion 360, which I actually liked (cost and ease of use) but I do spend a lot of time working in places with slow or no internet which renders fusion 360 unviable. That said I am enjoying the IronCAD experience, not yet as efficient with it as I was with fusion (and others), but getting there.
  5. Just installed 2017, and used the Serial number and codeword from my 2016 install, however every time i open 2017 it asks me to register again. I'm obviously doing something wrong?
  6. Boom, you nailed it, switched from openGL to DirectX everything back to normal. Not sure how it got switched, it certainly was not me, but very please to have it sorted out, Thank you.
  7. No I haven't but I will download it and install it later this afternoon, will check my graphics driver. Many thanks I will let you know how it all goes.
  8. I have been working with IC 2016 on my laptop for 6 months with no issues, but recently all the mouse commands have slowed right down, for instance zooming and panning commands take anywhere from 10 to 30 seconds to respond, where they used to be instant. I don't think I have change any setting or options to have caused this, so am at a complete loss as to what it can be. I have Tried different mice and the problem remains, so before I run out and buy a new laptop if any one has any suggestions they would be gratefully received.
  9. Thanks for your help with this, realizing that I have to think differently using IC i looked for an alternative method. I ended up using the Slot shape and hole to model the basic shape of the shackle - works well, and yes quicker than sketching and sweeping. Thanks All
  10. I am new to IronCAD and am enjoying learning to use it and for the most part it is fairly intuitive. However I am attempting to model a 183 mm D Shackle and struggling to say the least, I had to switch to Fusion 360 and had it done in 15 minutes. So the question is what am i missing, any help would be appreciated.
