Hi Juriaan and welcome to the community.
IronCAD 4.2 is able to import parasolid .x_t files written in parasolid format. You must import a parasolid file by first opening a scene, then using the File/Import command. The file must end with one of the known extensions for it to be imported. If you would like to email one of your files to techsupport@ironcad.com with a short note in the email simply stating that you cannot import the file, then I'll take a look at it and be able to provide additional information.
Other information that might be helpful here is what you are doing to import the file, and how very specifically how IronCAD is failing to function the way you expected.

Chris, thanks for providing information. In this case it is (not yet) possible to send you the files because of confidance. Next time I will try to get an no confidance file.
What's going on while doing you proposed: the program start with opening and shows in status bar how far it proceed. This three values stay at 0%. When I click in the scene the program shows an other status - just what belongs to the idle status. Maby you can give me an other advise to try.
Thanks Juriaan
