  1. Chris, I am sorry I can't help you - english OS Juriaan
  2. nice tip ! speaking about drawing frames - is it possible to "lock" the drawing frame objects to prevent unwanted changes ? Cheers, Juriaan
  3. Thanx for helping, it works nice now ! Iwill have a look into the past to find the item you refer.. >>Juriaan
  4. Has anybody noticed a trouble with adding a nut into a scene - the partshape is not in the same place as the intellishape... also the angor has a strange place. And the SmartSnap does not "see" the shape at all ! I'm talking about a bold (with nut) Metric 2x0.4 SS. Is it possible that this problem is depending on the installation of IC ? Cheers, Juriaan
  5. Hi, fellows - I'm using the IC now for a few months and feel still OK ! One thing I do not understand clearly is communicating with other engineering software... wich file type is the most satisfing (best result for editing) communicating with Mechanical Desktop 4 or Solid Edge ? Can you provide me from experience information. What I determind is that dimensions smaller than 1 [um] are round off to 1 [um] - is this correct I found out and what can I do about this to get smaller dimensions (up to 10 [nm]). Cheers, Juriaan @ AO NL
  6. Thanks for helping me like this Chris ! But till so far I like to stop. I can tell you why: we solved this file communication by using another type - viewer stuff. So I have an impression of what is going on. I prefer to figure out when somthing happen again. I could read the file you send so I think there is no problem with my system but with the version or origin of the file. Cheers Juriaan
  7. quote:Originally posted by Chris Lohman: Hi Juriaan and welcome to the community. IronCAD 4.2 is able to import parasolid .x_t files written in parasolid format. You must import a parasolid file by first opening a scene, then using the File/Import command. The file must end with one of the known extensions for it to be imported. If you would like to email one of your files to techsupport@ironcad.com with a short note in the email simply stating that you cannot import the file, then I'll take a look at it and be able to provide additional information. Other information that might be helpful here is what you are doing to import the file, and how very specifically how IronCAD is failing to function the way you expected. id=quote>id=quote> Chris, thanks for providing information. In this case it is (not yet) possible to send you the files because of confidance. Next time I will try to get an no confidance file. What's going on while doing you proposed: the program start with opening and shows in status bar how far it proceed. This three values stay at 0%. When I click in the scene the program shows an other status - just what belongs to the idle status. Maby you can give me an other advise to try. Thanks Juriaan
  8. Hello, I'm now using IronCAD 4.2 for several weeks and enjoy. My question is why can't I read Parasolid files. I thougt with this design tool I can communicate with every body - but no... Are there more users that have the same experiance ? Regards Juriaan
