Sure! -Tools/ Customize While you are seeing the dialogbox, simply drag icons(buttons) from your existing toolbars and drop them in to the scene background, and they are gone.

You can use the eyedropper to get a color( or texture, decal) from a part (or surface) and drop that in to an existing (or new) catalog. -If you make the color (or texture) transparent before using the eyedropper to drop it in, IronCAD will remember that the color where transparent! This is a much faster way to apply tranparency, then to go trough select part, RM select Smartpaint, Transparancy, and select a %. -Also, if you select a surface in the scene (highlight in green) and then drop in a color, that color will apply only on the selected surface.

Press SHIFT when placing the 3D Curve. This makes the curve tangent to the hole. Works in both ends. Drag in handles to affect force. You can also add vertexes to the spline 3D curve at a later time.

Thats nice! Some notes: -Open as above, will create e new scene and then import the .X_T (Parasolid) to that new scene. -Drag a .X_T from Windows explorer and drop in to a scene, will add that parasolidpart to that existing scene. The parasolidparts positions relative scene (world) origo will NOT be maintaned as it was in the FROM-CAD system, that exported the parasolidfile in the first place. -File/ Import will place the imported part/ assy in the same place in the world cordinatesystem as the FROM-system. .IGS/ .IGES you can drag and drop .IGS files in to a scene, but not .IGES Renaming solves.

If you do, windows will open that file with the software that windows "think" should open the file. I think you give windows a lot of trust if you do. I always rightmouse/ open with, or drag from explorer and drop in IronCAD to open .ics files. 2) "No .ics thumbnail views in Windows Explorer"= Right. -Tom, It doesnt help, Office will change it anyway soner or later.

-whats to drawback with outlook "owning" the ICS file type? I know that some AntiVirus softvare now will NOT allow the .ics file type. This cause its a suspected Outlook virus.

For sequrity, webfolders should be used instead of FTP servers.

Alex, I agree with you! The problem do, with a software like IronCAD is that the functionally is encreasing with each version in a way that need the fileformat (ICS) to change to make it possible to store the shapes. Then the format can change for performance and stability reasons also. So problem like this will show: -Hove do you save a sweep part done with a 3D curve, to a version off IronCAD where the sweep could not use the 3D curve. -A shelled part with different shell thickness on different walls... Try this in the drawing envirement: CTRL SHIFT L This opens a dialog where associated ICS files shows. You can change to wich ICS your ICD is showing. Robert Andersson Solidmakarna

A 2D shape draggen in to a 2D drawing can be dragged freally with the mouse. Some options: -Lock the 2Dshape: If you rightmouse the shapes anchorpoint you can lock it to "Fixed Position" Then you cant drag it. -Make the shape snap to 2D geometry: If you rightmouse the shapes anchorpoint you can make it "Slide along surfaces". Then, if you drag the shape (on its anchorpoint, preferable), you can snapp the shape on 2D lines (not view geometry). -The anchorpoint property is maintaned if dragged to 2D catalogs (.ICC) -Make a copy by simply rightmose drag the shape a bit to the side. There is also an option to link the shapes. You cant do this when the anchorpoint is set to Fixed. -Reposition 2D shapes anchorpoints: Rightmouse the 2D shape, prop, anchor, set the positionvalues to what you like. Try 0,0,0. Make sure you have a grip on hove security works on your server before you open the FTP server up. We started one like a year or two ago, and it did only take over night before someone from cyberspace have used it for somekind of filetransfering, leaving folders totally impossible to remove (named "Insaine").
