  1. I am trying to constrain a hydraulic cylinder, pinned on both ends. I have been trying axial constraints, but if I constrain the cylinder rod to the cylinder, then I can't constrain the pin. What am I doing wrong here? Also, is there some way to limit how far the cylinder rod extends? cylinder.ics
  2. Thanks Cary! That is what I was wanting! I see I have a ways to go before I have the animation catalog all figured out. Fred
  3. I have a linkage (see attached file) that I would like to be able to move up and down, and of course have all of the members follow along. Is this possible? linkage.ics
  4. Ah, I see! I learn something new everyday! Thanks Tom!
  5. Ok, a few questions. When you did the split, how did you get it to have an angle on one side of the box? All I seem to get is just a box, though I got the split done by rotating the box to the same angle. Also, how did you do the cut, and the cut faces? Thanks!
  6. Is there any way to bend parts of a part, other than sheetmetal? I have a piece of square tubing that I have cut notches out of, and want to bend the edges down, but have not figured out how to do this yet. I am attaching the scene, so you can see what I am talking about. example.ics
  7. I created a square tubing by using a block, then adding a H-block to it. I want to add this to the catalog, so that I can reuse this basic shape. I added it to the catalog, but when I go to reuse, I have a problem, when I try to resize, of course the H-block is no longer the correct size. How do I get the H-block to remain proportional? TIA!
  8. Thanks guys! I ended up just creating a H block and positioning it on the surface of the trimming tube. Seems like there should be a much better way though?
  9. I need to trim a part using two other parts. What I have is two pieces of tubing at a right angle, and I want to put a third in the middle as a brace, but can't figure out how to get it to trim the angle piece so that it fits perfectly. I know there is an easy way to do it, but I have not found it yet. When I use boolean, using one of the other parts, it trims it like I want, but also removes the part that I want to trim against. TIA!
