  1. lol ok, we need more info with this.
  2. Wow, that's impressive. Those even make me think that it could be possible to actually build something like that. Very cool, thanks.
  3. In order to remove the item bubble: 1) Right click on the bubble 2) Chose properties 3) Under the "Geometry" section there is a pull down menu that is labelel "Geometry". Pull this down and choose "none". If you want to keep the bubble but make it larger; then tick the "Custom Size" checkbox and type in your size.
  4. The only method for relocating the toolbars is to drag them with the mouse. When you exit ironcad; the toolbar locations should be remembered. If you minimize/maximize; the toolbars will change positions. There is no way to lock the toolbars in place. If the toolbar positions do not save; then you are experiencing a problem with saving to the .tbc file (IE filesystem/os permissions problems).
  5. From this question; we discovered that the F6 key can not be unmapped. So currently, there is no way to unmap the F6 key for us as a custom hotkey.
  6. I know of what you are asking for and IRONCAD doesn't display facets like that; even in facet rendering mode with hidden and sil. edges enabled. The only way to get a facet count is to export the part a facet format such as raw or stl. The "polygons" that IRONCAD reports upon export is as close as we get to facet counting.
  7. uh...I dunno. But hey, the image attachment worked this time. sry, hopefully someone else will know...
  8. Edit the file using any text editor. I don't have the engineering knowledge that is needed to answer your other questions.
  9. If you receive a 1603 error from Windows Installer; using the tool found here http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=290301 can straighten that out. Thank Chris Deveaux for finding this one. This was an elusive error that I had never been able to find a fix for.
  10. Use the "cut sheetmetal" command in the tools menu; which is essentially boolean for sheetmetal. How to use: 1) Create a part out of regular shapes that will act as your cutting tool. This MUST be a seperate part, not a shape; so be careful when you drop it into the scene so that it does not drop as a shape. 2) Position your cutting tool through the sheetmetal 3) Select the sheetmetal that you desire to cut at the part level, the shift+select the cutting tool (both should be selected in blue) 4) Pull down the tools menu and choose "Cut Sheetmetal Part". Nothing will seem to happen when you do this. 5) Suppress the cutting tool, notice the hole.
  11. wow, those translated very cleanly. These are cool, thanks.
  12. In order to post an image: 1) Click the attach file icon 2) Upload the image 3) DO NOT CLOSE THE UPLOAD WINDOW WITH THE [x]. CLICK ON THE CLOSE WINDOW LINK. (This is the critical step) 4) After you click on the close window link, the forum will automatically write code into your post with the tags. [edit after Tom posted below] 5) The filename extensions must be lower case IE, .gif will work but .GIF will not. Note: You must unhide extensions for known file types in the Windows Explorer Folder Options (on the view tab) so that you can rename the extension.
  13. This information is not yet publicly available. Please contact your IronCAD channel manager for more info.
  14. You can typically select the line and then right click on it to find properties for that line.
  15. So like, bending a band around a wine barrel? You could do that with the curved stock sheetmetal. Just drop in curved stock and then edit it's profile; change the line to an arc.
  16. Hey, I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be a FREE SCENE VIEWER (Native .ics files) released with 7.0. Here's a screenshot of the prototype viewer. Please keep in mind that this is a prototype shot only and that it may or may not change up to 100% by the time it releases.
  17. The driver that is listed next to IronCAD is merely the first driver that we started certifying IRONCAD on. The way that they list it is confusing. Ignore that IronCAD value and go straight for the latest driver. As long as you don't install a driver version that was released prior to the version that we certified; then you'll be ok.
  18. ...and I'm running a Dell Precision 450 with Xeon and it's running just fine. We just used the /3GB switch on an XP workstation with a FireGL2 card and for some reason the display resolution wouldn't work in /3GB mode. Note that this /3GB switch is supposed to work better in XP SP2 (which I have been beta testing and so far it has been great, by the way)
  19. All that I see in it is an "Ad River" banner; no animation.
  20. For those that are unable to boot with the /3GB limit enabled, you can acquire a patch for this by reading this Microsoft Knowledge Base Article: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb%3ben-us%3b328269 . Note: Be aware that mtwining has used this patch and believes that it may be the source of some flakiness in his OS.
