This update requires you to have IronCAD/Inovate 9.0 or IronCAD/Inovate 9.0 PU1 installed prior to installing. Issues addressed with this update are listed below. Parts need to be regenerated to calculate material message has been removed. Local Coordinate System fails to rotate properly with TriBall has been corrected. SmartAssembly Parametric has been resolved for regional settings. Annotations on hidden layers slows camera performance has been resolved. Catch to edges filter snaps to quadrant points has been addressed. Saving to Network causes fails to fail to open has been addressed. Weld symbols disappear after save/load has been addressed. Rhino-Integration fails when Rhino 4 and Rhino 3 on same machine has been resolved (Note: Rhino 4 is not supported). Failed to open drawing files due to style and layer corruption. Corrections have been made as well as notification of replacement styles if issue exists. Failed to open drawing files with many sheets due to the memory allocated in IronCAD 9.0 has been resolved. Hello Alfredo, I've tested a few of Tom's files and they are downloading. Please post the exact error message. What specific files are you having trouble downloading? Do you have any firewall or security software that could be interfering? What web browser and version are you using?

Let me know if you find a way to consistently duplicate it and we can get that process in the hands of a developer to fix. So far I haven't been able to duplicate it. Next time it happens check the Windows Task Manager to see if your available memory is running low, perhaps that has something to do with it. I'll keeping searching for other possible causes.

Does this happen again if you restart IronCAD? In the meantime, you can use Ctrl-Tab to switch between open files.

You can set the default font in the Styles & Layers menu. You will need to edit the default Styles for Dimensions, Text and Text with Leader. This can be done and saved in your drawing template but all existing drawings will have to be updated individually. In the Help Topics, Index, enter "styles". There's a good description of using Styles & Layers there. The Angle dimension Precision right-click menu bug is known and scheduled to be fixed in 10.0.

The trick is to select the text in edit mode before setting the font size, rather then setting the size outside of the edit mode. This appears to be fixed in the up coming 9.0PU!Hotfix1.

Hi Dave, That does sound like a good idea. I'll look into it, I'm not sure if our forum software supports that or not.

I think that is by design since you have the option to select the geomtry you are going to extrude and thereby exclude other geometry in that 2D Shape. If the new extrusion linked to the entire shape then all the 2D geometry would get extruded.

tweinzierl or Tom, Have either of you found a way to duplicate this problem of the decals disappearing? I'm looking for a Scene file and exact steps performed to get this to happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

We are planning a complete overhaul of graphics system in version 10.

The drop-down remembers the last 5 entries you've made.

This is a normal message when saving files from before 9.0 PU1. If you open the file, regenerate the entire assembly, then save, that should be the last time you see those messages fro that assembly.

New Text always gets it's size from the current default Text Style.

I don't have any more specific information at this time.

We are planning a completely new OpenGL system in IronCAD 10.0, I don't have any details yet but it will have many advantages over the current system.

Regenerating the assembly has been working for me here. Please send me you assembly if it keeps giving you the Mass Properties mesasge after regenerating and saving ( support@ironcad.com or ftp://ftp.ironcad.com/upload/ ).
