Hi all IC freaks! Very little activity on the forum rigtht now I think. Are you all waiting for Santa to show up with an early christmas present. The thing that at least I have wished for for a while. - "PU1" / Marcus

Is it possible to set up a shortcut key for this: Right click/ Part properties/ Rendering/ "Display hidden edges" So when part/parts is selected you only have to push this shortcut key. / Marcus

I'm not familar with API. Is it hard to lern? What is "EDO"? / Marcus

If I drag a color for example "grey 50" out to a part. How do I then see that the part have that color? Where is that "grey 50" listed? / Marcus

Now it don't open the ics file at all. No error message no nothing. It download in the IE explorer but don't start IC. ? I'm confused, it sounds that this should be it. / Marcus

Saving to disk and then open works. But very annoing having to do that when only viewing files. / Marcus

Hi! When I try to open an IronCAD file direclty from this forum IronCAD open up inside Windows Internet Explorer. Anybody know what is wrong? How it can be fixed so IronCAD open up in an own session? / Marcus

Hi! I agree with Tom. Do not take this functionality away, I didn't know about it until now but I can see it is great for quick scaling of 2d shapes, I have been looking for something like this. But I don't see the handles either. / Marcus

They are to detailed, and they do not show the doorblade in alternative position (open). That is important to show when you are doing layouts of building. And I dont realy know how to change them, for example the door with. / Marcus

House things. For layout work (Not so detailed) that looked good also on drawing. Like doors, windows, ladders, toilets, washbowl etc Wery much like what is included in Architectual Desktop apps. / Marcus

Now you have made me wory! Is it realy that bad? Our clients always ask for dwg as "final" documentation. If it is as bad as you say, does IC take action to make it better? This is a realy important task, at least 75% of our business use dwg as the main format for documentation and that is in both for what we send and what we get. The other 25% is pdf, tif etc. / Marcus

I also have discovered that customers, clients and couleagues think this when I say that I use IronCAD: -They think it is something puted on top of AutoCAD (a 3:d party app). - That this program only deals with steel beams, with automated drawing production. - That it is some old 2D app ("Have you tested some new 3D program like TurboCAD" has one said to me) After I heared the last one I have stop saying that I use IronCAD, I say only IC or InovationSuite and I have get much better responses, peopels gets more interested directly when I say "InovationSuite". So my sugestion to this is that: -Use the "Inovate" name for all products. -Put maybe a + after for IronCAD like "Inovate+" - Or maybe "Inovate Light" for todays Inovate. / Marcus

I knew about the Iron Find under the open dialog under search. The tricky was that that one is slightly different from IronFind under Tools, The one in the open dialog don't have the "File / Export" alternativ. And that was what I was after. And about pushing the properties to the file, maybe you are right that it works with overall apps. but I think it should be good to have here in IronFind directly so I dont need a bunch of extra apps. / Marcus

I found it! Iron Find! Good tool, exept that you can't push values back to the file properties for the file. The tricky was to find it. In my instalation of IronCAD I didn't get any shortcut to it and it is well buried under "C:\Program Files\IronCAD\IRONCAD8\bin\ifind.exe" / Marcus

Hi! Anyone out there that know if there is some kind of tool available (for free) to extract "file properties" and maybe also change the attributes for a bunch of files. I'm trying to automate the creation of a list of drawings. So it is important that it is possible to extract the information to Excel- or CSV-file or something that can be futher manipulated. Any ideas? / Marcus

I see the point, having the possibility to put in weight/length. That would be nice to have for cables, wires, chanels, ducts, ladders etc where the manufacturer only state the weight/length (in most cases kg/m). It should be possible I think to do that for extruded or sweeped geometries. Put it as an ER! / Marcus

Sad to hear that it is not possible to make vector grafic (like .wmf) When inserting OLE objects, do I have to send these files as well or are they embeded into the Office-files? / Marcus
