  1. Thanks for the extremely quick answer. You guys are great!
  2. Can colinear constraints be added to sheetmetal after creationid='Arial'>
  3. sometimes it helps to create a thin slab that is the correct size and apply the decal to it. We do this when we are representing flat overlays or overlays that are bent at a 90 degree angle. For the 90 degree version we use to very thin slabs, each with their own copy of the decal. Sometimes the decal tools a a little cranky on sheetmetal or complex parts so we use the above method to make it easier. When you place the decal, go to smart paint properties/settings and size the decal before you drop it. Make sure you are comfortable with the move decal tool on the smart paint tool bar. It looks like a red balloon with a yellow star on it. Activate this feature and use the triball to move it.
  4. Just started using XP yesterday. Fire gl 2 works fine under XP. Two issues so far: 1) Menus not showing up, deleting the ironcad.tbc seems to work every time. 2) Triball copy assembly creates a linked assy that can't be unlinked. Unlink comand shows up and goes grey after it is used but link remains. Deleted copy and dragged original part to catalog and back into model to correct problem. Also had trouble putting custom animations on camera for some reason, animation on parts worked fine.
  5. The above method will work, but the method I prefer is to be in the 2d drawing file and hit shift+ctrl+L, the same dialog box mentioned above will appear. Select the file from the list and click change source. brouse for the correct file and you are there. This is in section 8-4 of the new ironcad manual, if you have one.
  6. I am extremely impressed by the response of Ironcad Support and the programming group. I reported the "Internal Application Error: Graphics Display" issue at 9:10 this morning. I had an email in my inbox at 11:16 with the fix in it. The fix is also posted in the IronCAD general discussion forum under the above topic. I don't know about you guys, but I have never seen that kind of response out of a CAD vendor before! Its always easy to find things to complain about with any CAD package, but this proves to me that the IronCAD people are serious about customer satisfaction. Awesome performance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 5.0 is sweet!
