Cary OConnor
We currently do not offer that on the sheet metal. I did notice that they have to manually suppress these in order to unfold the part (which seems like a bit of a limitation). Do you have many requirements for this need? IronKevin
I found a sort of work-around, see attached. You can suppress the "Gusset" group prior to unfolding. Gusset.ics
tlehnhaeuser
Kev Sorry can you send a video how you did this. Not sure what those "new" icons are for groups? Cary. I did a few years ago, but just wanted to revisit on my own t

tlehnhaeuser
Thanks Kev But I think you need something other than Grabzilla, its so eratic its hard to follow. Maybe Bandicam might be better :-) https://www.bandicam.com/
IronKevin
That's odd, the video plays smooth on my system using Windows Media Player.

Attached is what I kept as a reference. It's a bit of a mission to do the gusset though. tlehnhaeuser
I have created a simple gusset as Kevin suggested. It works ok but I can;t get it to capture the material thickness of the part dropped on. Since you can't shell sheetmetal parts. If anyone has ideas, I'm all ears. see video: http://magnacad.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/SM_Gusset.gif t

Cary 45723[/snapback] I'm having to learn solidworks as head office uses it and I need to have a little knowledge of how it works etc to send them converted files from IC. So, during my learning I came across solidworks' gusset feature. It's quite impressive and takes very little time, The gusset features starts at 9:40 in this video Edited July 15, 2018 by HDEAR
