Help to make a out bend in sheetmetal

I'm remodeling a assembly that I made in Pro/E (Creo) to trainning my skills in IronCAD.

 

I need to make a sheetmetal part that has a lateral bend with a non retangular profile (see Fig1.png).

 

In Carenagem.ics I made this bend the result is not good (see Fig2.png), I had to do many manual operations and it is not unfolding.

 

Any better way to do this bend?

 

Note: The part width must be 260mm.

I have field a bug report for this, even after cleaning up your overlapping geometry the part still wouldn't unfold properly. Incident # 101894.

Well the unfold error was due to the stock was not aligned (the custom stock) to the bend (I believe). When I corrected the constraint, it unfolded.

 

When dealing with a part that has closed corners, I find it easier to create the base stock and then use Smooth aligned bends.

 

Attached is an updated version. There is overlap in the closed corners in 3D (you will get an error message) but it will unfold in 2013. Also, I offset the stock on one end to create a slight gap between the stocks. Take a look (saved in 2013).

What is the order of features? And how to make a smooth alined bend with non perpendicular bends?

 

I'm trying to do a model based on yours but I can't.

At the part level, right-click on the bend handles that appears. There is an option for the Bend Alignment. You can model using the alignment and with outbends. When using outbends, you need to account for the stock that is cut out.
