nstrange
I have set the drawing template directory to my template file, but when I select file, new, drawing, I only get a single default drawing template, not the file where my drawing templates are located. What gives?
Guest IronKevin
That is a bug in the filename display, however, the correct template should still be set as the default. IK
Cary OConnor
The file structure for templates have changed in IronCAD 7. You need to create a Scene and Drawing Folder in a desired location then add your folder with templates under the Drawing or Scene folder. When you select File, New, Drawing or Scene, there will be a Tab with the folder name you created at the top. Cary
nstrange
I thought this is what I had done, but there is no tab for my folder. See attached for an image of the file. IC template file.doc
Robert Andersson
-Create a drawing -Save it as a template See in what folder the template is placed. This can give a clue about the problem. Robert Andersson Solidmakarna
nstrange
Thanks for the suggestion, Robert. For the record; when saving a drawing as a template it is saved in the default template directory I set up under tools, options, directories. Only problem is, there is no way to create a drawing from that directory in IC because IC will not go to that directory when creating new drawings. Alex Khenkin
You have to recreate the exact sub-directory structure form the IC's original Template directory within your custom directory and place your templates there. Apparently, IC is looking for those exact sub-directory names. -Alex.
