Dave G
I know this question has probally been asked before although I am unable to find a safe answer thoughout the forum - I need a sheet metal size of 4.5 mm and 6 mm (thick). I've looked at the tooltbl.txt file and all items are in English not Metric, as you can appreciate I am a little nervous changing things I know nothing about ! Any help would be gratefully accepted. mmccall
The tooltbl.txt file is nothing to be scared of .. Just make a copy so you can get everything back if you mess up. You can make the labels for the sheetmetal say whatever you want , so I guess you could simply say 4.5mm and 6mm thick stock on those line items... then everywhere else in the table just do english conversions. The instructions at the top of the txt file lay it all out... I have made alot of changes and everything is still working fine.. I always have my backup file. JUST DO IT !... Hows that for a safe answer?

cborer
The way we Europeens have to handle it is a shame! Pure! I do not know anybody ( who is not a programmer) who wants to handle it like that! And I think it is not a big job for IC to make these sheets better & automatic with the choose of metric standart. So do not worry if IC will not sell as a sheetmetal CAD in metric land. So simple!
