tlehnhaeuser
when I use the TriBall to move a datum plane it doesn;t work. Not sure if this is bug or intended behavior. If intended then the TriBall icon should be grayed out cheers Tom
Cary OConnor
Coordinate systems or datum planes on structure parts? Datum planes on structure parts cannot be moved by the TriBall. We can file it to disable it. Cary
Doug Gower
How do you move the datum if you can't use the triball... Is it still possible?
tlehnhaeuser
Cary - Yup Structured Part Doug - You have to move it using the "offset" value when you go to Edit Feature since I created the DP using the "Offset from face" option. Cary OConnor
Datum planes are reference geometry that are fixed to other geometry (they don't freely float in space). That is why the Triball is not used. The Datum planes in structured part need to be positioned using the option available on create/edit to locate an define the datum.
