Guest Wim
i`ll give it a try: -selekt the cilinder at the intellishape-level(yellow) -right-mouse select `surface reshape properties` -at the left you can select which side to taper: startsection is the side with the bleu arrow) -select `taper` -invoke`start taper at extremum point` -tilt angle at 18.5 -ok -mirrow the shape good luck Wim

Dave G
Oh, pushing my luck here I know but one other problem I need to resolve - one section of the cylinder needs to be at 1100 high whilst the sloping one needs to be at 916, how would you ensure that the correct measurements are maintained and the 'natural' intersection point of the two. (Its a Staircase Balustrade by the way) Thanks Again Dave
Wim
again i`m not sure cause my english is not too good, but maybe this is what you mean. Dave G
Wim - Thanks for the help, unfortunately I cannot work out a way of getting the intersection correct - ran out of time so opted to Draw on the Old 2D system. Thanks for your help though. By the way - your English is far better than my Dutch ! Regards Dave
