Guest lfeldman
What's the trick to square up symetric part such as torroids with the borders of the window. The TRI-Ball is no help since all its planes do not obey F7 command when clicking on these planes. Will be much obliged for the trick. Thanks. Mike Twining
Are you asking how to adjust a camera or to move the part? If you are looking to deal with the part, a torroid has an "axis" which can be used for alignment of the tribal. If you are looking for just the camera adjustment, then I suggest using a dummy block aligned with the torroid to use F7 on...
tlehnhaeuser
Also if your just looking to change your view direction you can left click on the desired ais on the WCA indication (Triad at Lower Left).
Guest lfeldman
Thanks, Tom and Mike. The block work-around I knew about, the triad clicking is new to me. Thanks again.
Robert Andersson
Also in situations like this, : -pressing SHIFT and the Camera orbit ikon (or F3) makes the camera spin around in one plane. To shift Plane, let the mouse go and press again in the new direction. -While doing that adding CTRL makes the camera snap to 45dgr steps. -You can in tricky situations make the cameras visible in the scene and select a camera and position it with the Triball.
