Auto Save for bad files

Hi

Yesterday IC had a problem with a file

So IC saved it somewhere.

I saw it and wanted to move it but I forgot!

I was able to go on with it and saved it several times.

Now I cannot find the file.

It must be somewhere in the system.

Every idea is welcome!

I wasn't able to find it with search /Name/Date/.ics/

Thanks

Carlo

IronCAD normally saves it's temp files in one of these locations (unless you have customized your Windows Temp folder location):

XP:

C:\Documents and Settings\login-name\Local Settings\Temp

Vista:

C:\Users\login-name\AppData\Local\Temp

These folders are hidden by default so Windows won't include them in a search.

These aren't backup files, just temp storage files that can (if the timing was just right when it was writing to the temp file during the crash) be opened. They typically are named something like ~DF??????.tmp and if you rename them to .ics you might be able to open them.

The next major release will have a file backup function.
