tlehnhaeuser
I am trying to constraint the attached model in a way I cant seem to figure out. 1. I would like to be able to slide the green part up and other parts stay still. 2. I would like to also slide the yellow part which moves the green part but red part is fixed. I welcome any ideas. thanks Tom Slide.ics Scene is IronCAD V11 Bets 3 Edited November 3, 2008 by tlehnhaeuser
IronKevin
Tom, First resolve the part intersections, then add concentric constraints between the cylinders and mate the flat faces between the parts. Finally, select "Fixed in Parent" for the red part.
tlehnhaeuser
Hi Kev, Well his is not working becuase I cannot get the Green part to move by itself, it keep spulling the yellow part with it. I do not think we can constraint this to work properly becuase it basically involves a mate to work then not work depending on the part you select. Bill C
We do not support the ability to move parts based on physical contact. I think this is what you are after Tom. Currently we support mechanisms that are driven through constraints. This is a filed ER to support the additional mechanism capabilities.
