janttila
Is it possible to choose color for mask out background, if not, that would be a nice feature wouldn't it?
Cary OConnor
Are you talking about the 2D Drawing on Text - Text Mask? If so, yes you can set a color. On the property page of the text, you can set the fill color. Thanks Cary

janttila
Oh, sorry, no the advanced rendering properties, the checkbox Mask-Out background 22161[/snapback] It is the background colour i want to be able to change when rendering images with the mask-out background checkbox checked. As default it is black.
IronKevin
I may be missing something but the "mask-out" image has no background but has a transparent background when viewed in any other image software. See the screenshots:

Cary OConnor
If you do it from the preview window, you need to save out as tiff (otherwise it will be a solid color. Tiff supports transparency). Open the tiff in a app like photoshop or something and it will be transparent. Cary
tlehnhaeuser
.PNG format also supports transparency and provides sharp smaller files tom
