Restoring A Deleted Assy After Save?

Hello All,

We have a client that deleted an assembly by accident and saved the file. Needless to say this was a massive assembly.

Does anyone know of a magic trick to be able to restore a delete assembly in the scene after the scene was saved?

Any feedback is appreciated.

Thanks

Tom

I would love an ez save but the fact and have been asking for it for years but I have kind of changed my stance on it. I dont know about you guys but some of my files are 100mb and to save back ups of all those files would cripple my system.

I have EZ save from some guy who lost the code #$%^ biggrin.gif

But haven;t tried it with V10. I know IronPRO has the AutoSave and AutoBackup which I use and its fantastic, but they point made of saving large assemblies brings up a good point.

As for the incremental save approach not sure if theres a way to only update a saved from bwtween version saves.

If you store the files on a network server that is running Windows Server 2003 or Windows 2003 Storage server, then you may like to use "Windows Shadowing Copy Service".

Then the server takes 2 snappshots per day (Incr) without disturbing the user.

To Restore, simple Right click the folder or file and select properies.

There is a tab called something like "Revisions"

There you can select any of the earlier versions for restore. And you can select WHERE to restore the file.

Using this you can loose maximun like 4 hours work. And its all configurable.

I think you can extend it to Shadow client folders / files to.
