tlehnhaeuser
OK, I miss the TriBaLL on decals so I never had to worry about the settings. Can anybody tell me what settings I need to make the logo perpendicular to the surface its on ( 45 degree bevel) from the image below? I cant seem to make heads or tails on this one, age showing again. Thanks Tom
Cary OConnor
try 0 45 -45 in the projection field. That should project down at 45 degrees I think. Cary
Mike Allen
For the Projection Direction, try 0, 1, -1 & for the Up Direction, try 0, 1, 1. They are vectors, so at 45º, the values should be equal (any numbers should work in this case, as long as they are equal.)
tlehnhaeuser
Thanks Cary, Mike, Funny I tried both suggestions and they gave the same result.
tlehnhaeuser
Oddly enough I used the SmartPaint Eyedroppe to put on other bevel surface and then back on original surface it fixed the problem. tom

Mike Twining
Funny I tried both suggestions and they gave the same result. 19878[/snapback] Those are just vectors, and are "normalized" when computed. In reality, the only thing that matters is not the value of the numbers entered (when defining a vector), but the relationship (or ratios) of the values entered. tlehnhaeuser
Just a quick temporary tip... If you come across this issue , if you use the SmartPaint Eyedropper and flip the decal and empty onto another face (preferablly on another block you drag in) , then fill the eyedropper from that face back onto original surface, the decal will correct itself.
