Guest svangeldern
Just curious, has anyone seen the the "days" increment in the v10 rendering window timer?
tlehnhaeuser
LOL! Yup, I got to 4 hours so far, thats my record attempt ;-). tom
Cary OConnor
It will all depend on the settings....but you can certainly get it to go for hours. Just need to make sure you have the right settings for the correct output. Turning it up is not always needed for the desired look (goes for any rendering system). Guest John Wright
I've had it run for 20 hours or so - especially if I did a render, not happy, did another, still not happy and bugger! did another and lost the system for the next day! Can't tell you exactly how many as the timer doesn't always update, or come back up when the screen saver cuts in! John BTW results weren't too bad on the last attempt! janttila
2 days and 4 hours, i think it would be a great idea to have a stand alone renderer, so you can save rendering jobs in ic then put them in the rendering que on another computer. Cary OConnor
That could be possible in the future (things like rendering ques and such). If we have a high demand for such utilities. Cary
Guest svangeldern
Johan, Amazing! Any chance you could post the rendering? I would love to see the results of 2 days of CPU time. John, How about you? Cheers, Steve
Guest John Wright
Steve let me find the thing and I'll drop it - with an explanation of what I did as well! John
Guest EricFoy
... Can't tell you exactly how many as the timer doesn't always update, or come back up when the screen saver cuts in! You should definitely DISABLE your screensaver! Screensavers cause more trouble than they're worth! Besides, we don't really need to save our screens anymore, as there's no phosphor to burn these days.
