mströmsnäs
We are having problems with copy-paste from one scene to another if the object we copy is inside an assembly. It's OK as long as a complete assembly is copied, but if I pick a single part it will not stay in it's world coordinate position when pasted into another scene. If I move the part out of the assembly and copy it there is no problem. It will remain in it's correct position. Surely when you copy a part, regardless of if it is inside an assembly or not, it has to stay in it's original position. Otherwise there's no point in being able to copy-paste at all. IronKevin
Assembled Parts that have been moved after being assembled derive their positioning from the assembly anchor.
Mike Allen
You might consider keeping a catalog for the purpose of getting parts & assemblies from one scene to the next. That bypasses the anchor issue with parts in assemblies, since it doesn't rely on the windows clipboard, but instead uses IronCAD functionality. Just select your part or assembly, drag it into your catalog, go to your new scene & drag the part or assembly out of the catalog.
