Marcus Bertilsson
I dont know where to talk about this but anyway. - When opening a ics-file with Modelpress the model is always rotated wrong, differet than in IronCAD. Also the top, front view etc doesent match. - 3D curves are not vissible. Big wish that they are vissible! / Marcus
tlehnhaeuser
Marcus FYI IronCAD has there own ICViewer which provides markup abilities, I tend to use that one more than Modelpress, however everyones needs are differnt. I can be downloaded form the support page on the IC website. Tom
Cary OConnor
The ModelPress has a different meaning of orientation. This is common among CAD systems as well. We changed IronCAD I think 3 times until we settled on the current one that make sense between 3D and 2D. You will need to file the orientation change to Modelpress in order for them to change it or give an option to determine the meaning. 3D curves are not Facet geometry and that is why the views due not read it. We have special handling in IronCAD to draw these in 3D and in 2D due to this. I'm not sure if or how they would be able to read this. Note: That link Tom mentioned will be removed shortly. We have to stop distributing the old IC-Viewer due to licensing restrictions. Thanks Cary
B. Ludin
FYI, it looks like Infograph has replaced the free Modelpress Reader with the free but slightly feature-reduced Myriad 3D reader, has eliminated the free Modelpress Publisher altogether (!), and has reaplced Modelpress Desktop with the much more expensive Myriad Desktop.
