bbuche
I have customized a bom and I can save a template but I do not know where to save it to. Also I don't know how to call it back up once I save it since all greys out when you pick template instead of the default bom. What I want is for it to show up next to my default so I can pick it if I would like. Is there a way to do this? Thanks for the help. Guest IronKevin
Save the Template in the folder list ed under Tools, Options, Directories, Template directory.
Mike Twining
The default directory is your "...IronCAD8\Template\" directory. Once you save it there, you should see a new Icon when you choose to add a BOM, which will be your new saved BOM.

Robert Andersson
Brian has a point here, when you save a scene or a drawing as a template, IronCAD automaticly shows the template directory (Wish is set under Tools/ Options/ Directories). But when a user want to save a BOM design as a template for future use (.ICB ), IronCAD dont bader to to that directory browse. -Soo, I guess this is a ER. Please let IronCAD show the active template directory on BOM template Save As
tlehnhaeuser
to expand Roberts thoughts it would be nice if IC knew to save .icd templates to the Drawing Folder and .ics to the Scene Folder under the template directory. Tom
Robert Andersson
Right Tom! Why not have 3 parallell folders under the Template folder: -Scene -Drawing -BOM And the user should be pointed to the respective folder on Template Save As.
