Mike Twining
Is there any reason that IronCAD would not properly run on a new dual-core processor? I know that it won't multi-thread (it works, just slower), and I know it runs fine on a dual (single core) processor machine (runs great when you only allow IC to use 1 processor)... but the IT dorks, I mean guys, want to make sure before they order the new guy a new machine. So, whats the word?
Guest IronKevin
I'm running IronCAD on a dual processor machine right now and it works great. IK
Mike Twining
I suppose you got dual 25" monitors too... man... you IronCAD guys got it good Thanks!
Guest IronKevin
Mike, I mis-read your post thinking you were talking about a dual processor but I see now you wrote dual-core. We don't have any of those and I have heard of anyone trying IronCAD on one. IK PS, only one 21" moniter
Per-Arne Almeflo
We have two computers with AMD Athlon 64 X2 4800+ socket 939 since a couple of weeks. Seem to run ok with both Acad and IronCAD. The computers came with WD Raptor hard disks, and they too seem to make a difference in response times, and also speed when shoveling files to and from the server.
