Guest jkim522093
We import the iges file into IronCAD and then make the drawing after modification. And then export the icd to dwg for AutoCAD 2000. And we opened this dwg file and tried to put the Radius dimension. But we could not put the Radius dimension to this part because it seems that the circle is divided into small straight lines. (When explode the circle in AutoCAD 2000, we got several small straight lines for this part.) But the same parts modeled in IronCAD, there is no problem with exported dwg file in AutoCAD 2000. (With this dwg file, we could put the radius dimension, and the entity seems to be normal when we explode this part.) So we want to know why this kind of things happen. For your reproduce there, we attached the iges file and exported dwg file. tx50c-vabubo.zip
Robert Andersson
I tryed to export to Autocad LT 97, and there where nice circles in the DWG. No problem applying radial dims on them. Are you sure you selected "True representaton" during DWG export from the IC? Robert Andersson
Joe Walsh
sounds like the problem may be in the original IGES file ?? Are these straight lines when they are received by IronCAD ??
Chris Lohman
jkim I experienced the same problem with your igs file as you did. I was running in the Parasolid kernel when I imported your iges file and thus had a parasolid part. It wouldn't work until I converted the part from Parasolid to Acis. Once I converted it, IronCAD started exporting circles properly. I had tried healing and regenerating the part and that didn't help. So maybe that brute force regeneration that occurs when you switch kernel (select the part and hit ctrl+k) will help you as well.
