Guest dlalonde
The Rolling Stones came to Toronto to participate in a huge day-long concert which included AC/DC, Rush, and many other bands and performers. It was intended to give a much needed boost to the city's tourism industry, which has suffered in the wake of the SARS outbreak (The Stones have long considered Toronto to be one of their favorite places). Approximately 430,000 people attended the all-day concert (200,000 tickets were sold in the U.S.A.!). It was a peaceful pleasant event, aided no doubt by Canada's relaxed weed-smoking laws, topless shoulder-riding girls, and the Molson beer tents. Some generous rock-fans even offered free water-bottles to Justin Timberlake during his performance (they had to throw them 50 ft to the stage). Reporting from Toronto Canada... jcraig
At the Corvette 50th birthday party in Nashville, Chevrolet sponsored a ZZ Top Concert. 8000 people were in the stadium. By the time the 2nd tune started 4000 had left.
