What are the advantages of multibody modelling in IronCAD?

Recommended Posts

In order to understand the advantages of IronCAD's Structured Modelling method and Multi body Design Modelling that I was not aware of, I created a drawing in IronCAD that is commonly used in various 3D CAD tutorials.
What are the advantages of IronCAD's multibody modelling method compared to Solidworks' multibody modelling?
1. Pattern of Feature, Part
2. Easy to change design
3. Convenient to create part model to drawing
4. 3D Modelling

Thanks.

For that model shown (or in the download), there is no real advantage for Structured Part design. That model can be easily built with Innovative Design. I'm not sure why you would want or need to build these as bodies then  save out as individual files.

Typically, multiple-body design is needed when you have more complex relations and constraints that may be more difficult to create with individual parts. These posts by Malcolm may help shed some light on Structured parts -
