jolizon590016
Hi, I just like to to know if I pattern the layout in our current D365 to the IRONCAD Property List will it work or is it a big ask. Possibility question. Thanks
Cary OConnor
I'm not sure I understand your question or Property List. Are you asking if you can connect database information from dynamics to specific fields in IronCAD? It can be done but you need clear rules on what you want (just as if you did this in a PDM system). jolizon590016
Hi Cary, Yes we wish to connect it with. Either if I can put in all the necessary conventions in IronCAD to be transferred to D365 to cut any redundancy/re-entry at D365. We were using a Priority ERP and migrated to D365. Priority was disconnected with IronCAD and we manually cross reference the model and ERP BOM. If I can set and drive some model properties e.g serial numbers, quantity, descriptions, material length to sent to D365. We don't use PDM to bridge. I may need to rewrite some rules which no expert at, any reference will be appreciated. Regards

I am not sure what you mean by "rules". We have a Application Programming Interface (API). If you want to pass data between an external program (like a database) and IRONCAD, then you would need to write a program to do the work. The IRONCAD API supports C++ and C# programming languages. The description of the API is in the CHM files installed under C:\Program Files\IronCAD\2023\ICAPI\Docs\
Bill C
Also, please note that questions related the IRONCAD's application programming interface (API) can be sent directly to apisupport@ironcad.com. That is really the fastest way to get an answer. thank you.
