cborer
I want to set the start point of a 3d curve on another 3d curve But instead of set on curve it swaps back on the start point of the existing curve. Can I switch that out? .....with lines it works well. Swap back.wmv
IronKevin
I'm sorry but from watching your video it is unclear what you are attempting, please provide more detail in what you want to switch and send the ICS file if possible.
cborer
Thanks Kevin, Simple: for a 3d curve (spline) : if I attach it with another curve (create curve) the new curve does not attach on the point where I attach it. it goes back to the start point of the attached 3d curve. I never had this but now it makes it always. Understood?
Cary OConnor
Hi Carlo, Do you have the Point Snap settings on? It should not jump to the endpoint unless you have one of the snap settings like Endpoint Snap turned on? You can turn on Point Snap Toolbar to check. cborer
Thank you Cary The funny thing is I have not activated the endpoint snap (as you can see) 1st Attach works OK 2.nd goes to endpoint 3th is OK see movie But it looks that the activated Snap Intersection produces this... A bug? Intersection Snap.wmv
Cary OConnor
It's actually trying to snap to the intersection which in that case would be the start point of the same curve and the curve you are hitting. Thus that is the error as it would self-intersect. Can you attach the file that shows the weird snap behavior. I don't see it in 2022 happening so I just want to verify. cborer
Dear Cary It is just a test file simply 2 curves (one spltted now) but still the same) Here it is. PS I run a special Bug Repaired Version of IC maybe this causes some problems?2 Curves.ics
Cary OConnor
I don't see the issue in 2021 with that file. Kevin or anyone else see the issue Carlo is having?
IronKevin
I see Carlo is using 2020. I tried his file in 2020 but I don't get the endpoint snapping. It snaps where I click each time. Carlo, you could try closing IronCAD and clearing the UI XML files: Delete all XML files here: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming\IronCAD\IRONCAD\22.0\en-us\Customization
