BDICKMAN Posted December 20, 2018 Share Posted December 20, 2018 (edited) Hi All, First post and by no means an expert in ironcad. Have designed this fuel tank to suit a custom built ute tray. Everything will unfold bar the tank bottom, which comes up with failed to unfold sheet metal. Have no idea why as was hoping someone can steer me in the right direction. TIA Found the problem. Instead of using all bends to get the angles and using cuts to trim, try using the sketch bend. In your model, I think you are getting some odd overlaps causing the unfold to fail. You can use the solid to flat tool and pick the top face and it will unfold but the real unfold will have the overlap issues at the intersection of the angle and the flaps.
