jolizon590016
Hi. I just like to know if there is 2d dxf/dwg checker so that when unfolded sheet metal patterns sent to laser cutting provider, no double lines exist in the drawing reference. Sometimes F7 doesn't really shows flat from any axis of x,y & z as it is from a camera view. Orient triball to global works but the folded state goes of from its previous position Edited September 15, 2016 by jolizon590016
jvanruitenbeek
You could make a unfolded view in Draft/CAXA 2D. Use the Exlode to blow up the view and then use a hidden button you can see in the image below. Robert Andersson
It can be a good idea to link out the sheet metal part also. Takes away the problem with orientation in space.
rsaucier
Change the kernel to ACIS if it is parasolid. I do a lot of sheet metal and have had the same issue. There is a known issue with parasolid creating the double lines that is being addressed in the 2017 release. That said, I have had zero double line issues using the ACIS kernel for all my sheet metal parts.

jolizon590016
Hi all, I switched to ACIS and seems to eliminate double lines but cam up with open line connections. Should I have set something or hopefully pin hopes on IC2017
