  1. Thank you for your quick response. Cary I sincerely want AutoCAD and its companion CADs to be replaced by IronCAD, because that's the way we live. Because that's the way we live.
  2. Hi I had a question from an IronCAD customizer about how to read 3D dwg format drawings created in AutoCAD into IronCAD in 3D. When I take an AutoCAD dwg file and read it into CAXA Draft, it reads as a 2D drawing. How can I read the AutoCAD 3D dwg file as a 3D file in IronCAD? I would be grateful to know. * Appendix In the future, many 3D files will be created as AutoCAD 3D DWG files by AutoCAD compatible CADs (ZWCAD, BricsCAD, IntelliCAD, NanoCAD, UniCAD, GstarCAD, SmartCAD), and in order to cover this and replace AutoCAD and its compatible CADs with IronCAD, it is necessary to be able to read AutoCAD 3D files in CAXA Draft or IronCAD. Thanks. < CAXA Draft > < SpaceClaim >
  3. Thank you very much. aalbe. How to model chains is very informative. The attached video is one I made over 20 years ago using Pro/E (now Creo Parametric). I would be grateful if someone could tell me how to create an animation with chains like this in IronCAD. Thanks. ^^ Machine Gun Ammunition Loader.wmv
  4. Thank you so much. Malcolm Very good video and explanation, I've been selling Ironcad and wasn't sure exactly what the benefits of Ironcad were to the consumer, so this is really helpful. I've been working in application development for various 3D & 2D CAD systems(Pro/E, CATIA, UG, CADDS5, SolidWorks, SpaceClaim, CADAM, CADRA, AutoCAD Etc) so I really appreciate the recommendation from your actual experience with various projects. ^^
  5. Hi Malcolm In your opinion, which would you recommend using, IronCAD Structured Mode or Innovate Mode, for use where you specialize in designing factory steel structures? I think Innovate Mode would be better as it has tools like Brace, Beam, Trimming, Stiffener etc, but could you advise what you think. I am currently using Innovate Mode about 99% of the time for my designs. My customer is specializing in designing factories with steel structure and I am wondering if it is better to sell IronCAD or suggest Brics CAD. They are also still doing nesting manually. I am currently working on this in secret without the knowledge of Inventor or SolidWorks sellers. Thanks.
  6. Thank you very much. Kevin. I didn't know that. In theory, the cut feature should be later than the bend feature, which is a bit confusing. ^^
  7. Hi I would like to cut a hole in a sheet metal corner. However, it is not cut completely as shown in the picture. The IronCAD version I am using is 2023 HF1 Build No185178. Thanks. TEST.ics
  8. When I edit the block, it looks like the attached video, regenarate, it's the same. Thanks Part216.ics
  9. 1. After selecting a part with the mouse, toggling the edge display and hidden line is 3 steps instead of 2: Edge Display -> Hidden Line Dispaly -> No Edge Display. No Edge Display is not necessary. Still 3 Steps. 2. Disabling the Delete Key when trying to delete a feature after selecting it. Previously, it was activated when changing the dimensions after selecting a feature, so there was no problem keying in the value, and there was no problem using the delete key to delete the feature. Soloved : Apr. 21. 2023 3. When creating a bulk drawing, the view direction of the external part file set in the 3D scene is not set and is projected in the default view direction. Soloved : Apr. 21. 2023 4. IronCAD crashed when creating CAXA bulk drawings from a scene with mixed internal and external models. Soloved : Apr. 21. 2023 5. CAXA does not support AutoCAD's LISP and ARX (the reason why large companies cannot replace AutoCAD with IronCAD). Other AutoCAD alternatives allow users to use their existing LISP and ARX programs without problems when replacing AutoCAD. I wish to replace all AutoCAD, ZWCAD, IntelliCAD, Gstar CAD, UniCAD to IronCAD. Thanks.
  10. Hello. Malcolm Malcolm, the ODA you mentioned in the PDF file seems to be a similar organization to the ITC, can you tell me if the ODA Toolkit also supports LISP and ARX? The ITC Toolkit certainly supports dwg and dxf file formats and the LISP and ARX APIs. Many companies that use AutoCAD have developed internal programs using LISP and ARX APIs to get more out of AutoCAD, so they don't want to replace it with IronCAD. As a seller of IronCAD, we have to replace AutoCAD with IronCAD, so We're trying to figure out how to do that. Now that Autocad has changed its policy to subscriptions, many users have switched or are switching to ZWCAD, GSTAR CAD, UNI CAD and BRICS CAD. Thanks.
  11. Thank you very much. Bill and Kevin. Is it valid for CAXA as well?
  12. Hi I would like to know what should be in the Group Configuration File that is in the Custom Properties for New Drawings sub-option of options in ironcad. I've looked through the help and haven't found anything about that. If anyone knows, I would be very grateful if you could let me know. Thanks.
  13. Hi I tried to create a chain on a curve, but it failed. What should I do? Thanks. Solidworks_Chain.mp4 CHAIN.ics
  14. Hi When creating dimensions 1. Unselect Dynamic Input. 2. Set Osnap to Guide at the bottom of the CAXA drawing. Creating_dimension.mp4
  15. Thank you Kevin. I need a separator like ;or + instead of NULL. This is because we need to manage 3D models and drawings in PLM with part numbers. If the file name consists only of the part number, the user cannot recognize which file is the part number. Users can't recognize a part by its part number. CAXA allows users to add a separa to the part number and part name. Thanks.
  16. Thank you. Cary. 1 K.S, JIS Data exists as an Excel file, so I think we can create a suitable format and apply it quickly. Malcolm made a very good video sample that explains it effectively. Thanks also for the answers to questions 2,3 and 4.
  17. Hi In IronCAD 2023, a window keeps popping up asking me to regenerate, even though I have Regenerate automatically checked in the Option Windows as shown in the attached picture. How can I stop it from popping up? Thanks.
  18. Hi We are suggesting users not to use Steel Frame for the reasons outlined below. I'm sure there's a workaround, but if anyone knows of one, I'd be very grateful. 1. By default, Steel Frames Catalogs are in Inch, how can I set it to JIS or KS? 2. How do I create a part drawings when designing with a steel frame? 3. How do I create a bulk drawings when designing with a steel frame? 4. How do I know that Body<26> in the Bodies Tree is matched with the generated file when I create a part using Associate BREP With Body Menu?(steel_frame-2.png) Thanks.
  19. Finding technical information about CAXA Draft is like finding a needle in a haystack. I have searched the internet countless times to get information about CAXA, asking our Korean distributor in Seoul, and figuring it out through trial and error method. Your information about CAXA Draft is very helpful and well done. CAXA Draft is still buggy and not very well improved, but it's bitter sweet in its own way. Thank very much. Malcolm.
  20. Thank you Malcolm. In reality, I don't do much design, I develop software, and I sell IronCAD to consumers to help them use it most efficiently. So the know-how of experienced engineers like Malcolm helps me a lot. Thanky very much Malcolm. ^^
  21. Hi I've been asked by a customer for an English-language Ironcad brochure that best describes Ironcad. Is it possible to get a PDF file that explains the strengths of IronCAD very well? Thanks.
  22. Hi I am not sure if it is more efficient to use Structured Mode for designing a Steel Structure or if I should use Innovate Mode Design. Ultimately, the customer will need to create a part drawing for fabrication. In general, I use Multi body modeling in Solid Works, Inventor, Creo, etc. to create simple part drawings. I have attached a steel structure 3D model that someone else created using inventor. Thanks. STRUCTURE.ics
  23. Assalamualaikum! I was struggling with the relationship between the BOM properties, but Malcolm's good CAXA Draft information helped me a lot and I created this diagram. I hope that IronCAD users can easily understand the flow of drawing BOM information and IronCAD will be used more and replace AutoCAD.
  24. Assalamualaikum. I have the same experience with IronCAD. ^^
