Thank you very much. Malcolm I tried asking questions on Bing Chat and Chat GPT to find out how to change the line length in CAXA Draft, but I couldn't figure it out. I had no idea that CAXA Draft had a handy feature. I couldn't find any documentation on this feature, so thanks for your clear answer, Malcolm. After playing around with CAXA Draft a bit, I find it much more workable than AutoCAD without Lisp. P.S I asked Bing Chat a few questions about CAXA Draft and it told me that it is the oldest AutoCAD compatible 2D Drafting system in China, has about 300,000 users in China alone, and is convenient for industry. Then I ask ZWCAD a question, and it tells me that it has about 900,000 users worldwide, that it scales very quickly, and that it supports AutoLisp.

I've looked up modify length and don't see it, and I've tried using stretch, but that doesn't seem to do what I want. If anyone knows anything about this, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I want to know how to assign a Shotcut Key to the PropertysTab window.
tgjang replied to tgjang's topic in General Discussion
Thank you kim. It doesn't work with AutoHotKey Version 2.0 It would be much faster and simpler for the IronCAD developer to provide a shotcut key function. Although I'm not sure when they will add it. -
A PDF file of Malcolm's comparative analysis of CAXA and ICD is uploaded. In my case, the comparison table was very helpful. So I have a lot of expectations for CAXA enhancement, but I am often disappointed because there are few parts that are upgraded every time.

I want to know how to assign a Shotcut Key to the PropertysTab window.

Thanks. Kim I tried converting your autohotkey 1.0 program to autohotkey 2.0 version and it didn't work, so I put it on hold. IronCAD developers 1. Part Properties Tab, 2. Scene, Properties tab toggle, The above 2 menu's shotcut key function should be added to IronCAD. -
export excel BOM name as "Part Number Part Name.xlsm"

I upload a video related to BOM file name. It means that you want to create an excel bomb file name in the form of Part Number + Part Name of the selected file. Thanks. BOM_EXCEL_FILE.mp4 -
export excel BOM name as "Part Number Part Name.xlsm"
tgjang replied to tgjang's topic in General Discussion
We want to create excel files with the same filename and different extensions: ironcad_file_name.ics and ironcad_file_name.xlsm. However, currently the excel file is created with the name part name + configuration name.xlsm. This is because we want the excel BOM file created in IPROActiveManager to have the same name as the Ironcad file name so that we can separate the part number from the part name and automatically register the IronCAD model file and BOM in the PLM system. Thanks -
Hi I would like to export the file name as "Part Number ; Part Name.xlsm" by default when exporting BOM to Excel using PROActiveManager program, but now it is created as Part Name + Part Number. How can I configure this? Thanks.

I want to know how to assign a Shotcut Key to the PropertysTab window.
tgjang replied to tgjang's topic in General Discussion
I looked for the command, but couldn't find it. So I tried to program it using AutoHotKey, but the only way to recognise the menu is by coordinates, so that's not possible either. -
Hi I think it would be very user friendly if the IronCad PropertysTab window could apply a Shotcut Key. Therefore, End user would be grateful if somebody could tell me how I can assign a Shotcut Key to the PropertyTab. If it is not possible, I have to develop a program using AutoHotKey. It's a similar story, but we've created an AutoHotKey programme for the "Ctrl+`" shotcut key to switching between the Scene Tab and Properties Tab, which is very useful as it saves us a lot of mouse clicks. Thanks.

The gist of my question is Currently, I can only select C type Channel for stair lateral elements, but I want to add I Beam, Rectangle, and Square type as well.

I guess is that IronCAD is pretty much the same as SolidWorks, so I'm looking for the menu too. Steel_Frame.mp4

This is a model I created a few years ago after watching a video. For your reference. I can't find the original video, but if I do, I'll upload it. Parametric_Pkg.ics

Hi 1. I would like to align PMI dimensions in a 3D scene to make them looks good. However, I want to distance the end of the dimension extension line from the outline to make it look better, but the dimension will be twisted, is there a good way to do this? 2. CAXA's 2D Drawing view orientation problem recurs again. Thanks. Dimensions.mp4 Dim_Test.ics

Hi 1. I would like to use the Bulk Drawing Creation feature to create a caxa draft drawing of a Structured model and an Innovate model as shown in the figure. How can I create a part drawing? 2. How to move the Frame[5] to end of the horizontal beam? Thanks. Frame_Test.ics

How can I specify a CAXA default template file?
tgjang replied to tgjang's topic in General Discussion
Thans Kim. -
Hi How can I specify a CAXA default template file (std_user.tpl) where the user has defined Layer, Line Width, Text Style, etc.? The Options dialog box contains the Template Path, Symbol Search Path Etc... and I don't see where to specify a template file. If the user can specify a customized template file (std_user.tpl), then the user will not have to import the Configuration xml file for 2D Drawing by firstly importing the style from the "Style Manager" menu and then again by pressing the "Import from file" button from the "Open Menu" every time they create a drawing. Thaks.

Open STEP Viewer from the OPEN DESIGN ALLIANCE (ODA)
tgjang replied to Malcolm Crowe's topic in General Discussion
I guess is that if the IronProXT developers utilize the ODA Library to develop IronCAD 2D Draft, they will quickly develop a module that is very easy to use and has fewer bugs. -
Hi. If you want your BOM table to look like this, this is a simple solution. MODEL_SIZE.mp4

Hi I was watching a video uploaded by Malcolm and tried several times to insert an external Feature inside a Part as shown in the attached image, but without success. How can I insert an external part like the one in the red circle in the attached image? Thanks.

How do I convert an IronCAD 3D scene to a GLTF File?
tgjang replied to tgjang's topic in General Discussion
This is because images are not shared between multiple people in real-time. For example, if one person writes a comment, zooms in, zooms out, or rotates, other web clients can't see the specific part in real time and discuss it, so we want to develop it in conjunction with PLM. He that would have the fruit must climb the tree. There is a Notrh Korean proverd about a thirsty man digging a well. Thanks -
Hi I want to convert an IronCAD 3D Scene to GL Transmission Format (gltf) so that multiple users on the web can simultaneously move, comment, and discuss it. In other words, I want to send the mouse coordinates and button presses in real time and some other data in json format to the web client as streaming, so it shouldn't be difficult to implement. How can I convert an IronCAD 3D Scene to gltf? I'm thinking of using HTML, JavaScript, three.js, FastAPI, and GLTF Loader. Thanks.

I think it would be very convenient for you to create spiral curve and sections as a reference, and then have IronCAD create the curves for you directly. turbo_137_04_041009.pdf pump calc example.xlsx Krishtop_2017_IOP_Conf._Ser.__Mater._Sci._Eng._233_012005.pdf IJSEA08081016.pdf
