Welding came at a great time, I'm dealing with a client that manufactures metal structures.
But it is missing some profiles, i.e. "U" profiles or some dimensions of existing ones.
Is it possible to customize the profiles library adding new ones?

ok! Works.
But, is there a shortcut to use box select when using new UI?

And what is the shortcut to box select using new UI?

Cheat
go to McMaster.com search for the size you want, click CAD in the drop down box
...
Ok, it is a practical workaround, but I'd like to know how to make this.
Thanx!

You can sketch 2 polygon, the second moves to the "wave hight" and properly rotated.
Thank you

What if you temporarily convert your part to inches, ou export to step a copy part converted to inches?
I know that inches must be a option in the export operation, but convert the units before export can be a work arround before IronCAD fix it.

Thanx!
I was looking in the general display settings (render and real time), I forgot these settings for parties.

Up the Irons!
I'm remodeling a assembly that I made in Pro/E (Creo) to trainning my skills in IronCAD.
I need to make a sheetmetal part that has a lateral bend with a non retangular profile (see Fig1.png).
In Carenagem.ics I made this bend the result is not good (see Fig2.png), I had to do many manual operations and it is not unfolding.
Any better way to do this bend?
Note: The part width must be 260mm.
Used IronCAD 2013 Final (downloaded today)

Windows 8's interface is good for mobile devices (tablets and smartphones, not for laptops).
Microsoft is ignoring users that run essentially desktop jobs, like CAD/CAM, text editing, programming, publishing, etc..
The use of the old desktop in Windows 8 is seriously harmed by the absence of the start button and new way to deal with windows.

I think the correct question is "Windows 8 is ready for IronCAD?" (or any other desktop application)
