  1. Hi, I just like to know and confirm if IRONCAD Compose2013 as a standalone product will import Sketchup .skp file. Right now it does on my end with IronCAD 2013 PU1 and TRANS installed. The product page and pdf file only indicates industry standard and CAD native files. I am planning to push to a prefab group and if the import feature with Sketchup on IRONCAD Compose does work, that will be better. Regards to all, Joseph
  2. Hi I just tested my new video card, HIS ATI/AMD HD7770 iCooler which was a great upgrade from my now dissmal HD6670. I experienced a stretched vertical datum plane and also a model on OpenGL2 setting on Rendering/Advance Rendering setting. It only display this issue this setting, DirectX and OpenGL works fine. With IronCAD 2012, DirectX, OpenGL and OpenGL2 is just fine. I already re-installed the Catalyst 12.10 and it still persist. Regards, Joseph FYI: Filed as a bug
  3. Updated hardware with HIS HD7770 iCooler, now it made a difference on a 1980 x 1080 display
  4. Fyi: Just upgraded my CPU from an AMD FX6100 to a FX6300. Now runs cooler and performs a bit snappy. Better than before but still not a render hot rod. Regards, Joseph
  5. Hi, I like to know your experiences running 2012 with consumer video cards. Currently I am using a Powercolor 6670 1GB DDR3 video card. Sometimes works fine but slow on refresh with displaying edges so I set options>rendering>optimization: hide small parts when FPS low/hide edge when rotate if FPS is low settings. Will be a minimum Nvidia 640GT DDR3 or AMD 7750 1 GB DDR5 do the trick. Will the same card with a higher bandwidth DDR5 show any difference or an nvidia GTX 650 1GB DDR5 / AMD HD7770 1 GB DDR5 be better. I appreciate posting feedback on this thread. fyi: for some reason since I installed 2013, my installed 2012 seems to display a bit better. Regards, Joseph

  15. thanks again and i do apologize for the disruption on your current task. i have attached the model and as you have shown how to split the front panel, the top half front panel will have a curve edge as it slopes from the top panel to the descending plane that joins the top portion of the front panel. this a great learning process that you have made videos of, and solving this one will sure help a lot of users to deal with this detail. as always, many thanks and no rush on this formB3b5Cbrepshl.ics
  16. thank you for showing this process of splitting parts rather than what i usually use the split parts command that requires editing the default shape and alignment of the split planes. i just have one item to inquire about: the top from my design have a curving line that i do wish to have that parting line to follow. what i am thinking is split following the straight process and trim to create the desired curve parting/split line. i hope you don't mind me getting more ideas on how to do it.
  17. this is quite related to my earlier post but I do need to accomplish this. i tried to do 2d sketch curves and 3d sketch curves to cut this out but didn't work out or just haven't discovered on how to do it right. any tip or tricks to do it will a great help. thanks joseph dehumidifier_enclosure.pdf
