I have tried to do it as what you told. The IC still has the same problem. Also I got another problem on Drawing by doing this, the problem is that when I make a copy of current page, it shows blank without title block and IC freezes too.

 

About the hotkeys, could you please tell me where the files save in IC? Then I just copy my old file to IC2018 by using administrator.

Hi, all,

 

I am trying to customize my own hotkeys on IC2018 permanently. But each time when I start computer & IC, all my own settings goes back to the default setting. For example I remove the "W" from "Look at" and assign it to "Wireframe". But It will go back to system settings when I restart computer. Does anyone know how to do it or remove the all system default setting?

 

Also where and how should I transfer my old setting to new revision?

Sorry, I thought it was crashing. Since it's a freeze and not a crash the logs won't help.  Dariusz' suggestion to reinstall the graphics driver is a good next step.

I will try his idea later. But there is another kind of freeze I want to tell you. The IC does not refresh the screen completely when I switch one file to another file. I still can work on other files and even the freeze one I can save and exit. I have switch 3 computer since I started using IC, but the monitor and keyboard are still the same, this lets me think that there might be problem with my monitor. What do you think? Kevin.

Do you also know what you were doing during the crashes that led to these logs (I assumed it crashed when you finished these logs but looking at the logs it seems it never crashed, we need logs from when it crashes).

Recently, IC just freezes, I had to stop IC by using Task Manager. When it freezes, I could not use IC anymore. And I stopped it first, then save these files.

The attached files are recording files when IC freezed. When I run WinDbg, my IronCad was really slow, and I am not sure if the Windbg cause the freezes or just normal freezes.

Try this to debug:

 

Please download and install the Microsoft Debugger:

(install just the Debugging Tools for Windows from the SDK installer, it says it's for Windows 8 but it works for Windows 7 and 10)

1.            Start the Win Debugger

2.            In WinDbg,  go to File, "Open Executable"

3.            Browse to ironcad.exe (typically in C:\Program Files\IronCAD\IRONCAD\20xx\bin)

4.            Click No to the question "Save information for workspace"?

5.            Click View, Call Stack

6.            Press F5 to go (you may have to click F5 several times to get IronCAD starting, the bottom of the WinDebugger Command window should say "Debuggee is running" when it is actually going)

7.            Let IronCAD attempt to run as usual.

 

Then when the crash occurs save and send the window text in WinDbg:

1.            Select the Command window

2.            Go to the Edit menu, "Write Windows Text to File..."

3.            Select the Calls window.

4.            Go to the Edit menu, "Write Windows Text to File..."

 

Then send those text files.  These files can help us determine why IronCAD is failing.

2. Install the AIO210 package to windows 10 http://www.ironcad.pl/pobieranie/aio210.zip

3. Restart the computer

4. Install IRONCAD

 

This magic will make your IRONCAD work properly. Tested on 500+ installations with windows 10, 8 etc ...

I currently installed IronCad 2017 on Windows 10. It disappointed me:

First of all, IC crashed down many times without any warning.

Second, IC ended with warning but I did not have change to save files

Last, It freezes sometimes when I open more that one assembly files, I have to use Task Manager to kill IC.

 

I am kind of regret to upgrade IC to 2017, for me 2015 is more stable that the new one.

 

Any one know what the possible reasons are?

I just reinstalled it last week. It looks like reinstalling doesn't work. Do you guys know if there are similar errors from some other people or just me?

[2016 IronCAD does not work properly]

Recently My 2016 IronCAD really gives me some trouble for using:

 

1. It is freezing when I closed an assembly scene while having 1 or 2 assembly files opening. I have to use task manager to stop IC with losing all work.

2. IC suddenly closed or disappeared without any saving warning and all my works lost.

3. Start from yesterday I can not update my 2D Drafting: it says "The reference scene ..... could not be activated. Then I can not do anything on 2D drafting.

4. My 3D scene in IC keeps crashed.

 

I am using windows 7, and 2016 IC upgraded to SP2.

 

I have been stop working for 2 days, it is urgent and any help will be appreciated.

It does not really work that. Please see the attached file for my specific application. I need to drill holes on a curved surface, I put some holes on curved surface, but only one holes shew on Unfold, the others did not show, I did folding and unfolding many times it just does not work to me.

Anyone has some experience in working with Refold and Unfold Sheet Metal? I found there is not useful connections between them.

For example, if I add some features to Unfold, these features will not show up on refold. On the other hand, if I add features to Fold, again these features will never show in Unfold. Maybe I did not operate in right way?

 

The connection between Unfold and refold on works on in first time, from Fold to Unfold. After that any changing will not reflect each other. I am so frustrated with it.
