Here's a portion with welds for pipes extracted from our Mag-TOOLS catalog. Maybe its helpful to use and understand how IronCAD can create such components.
How-to Videos are in the catalog.
Enjoy.

LOL! you got it!

I see it as the "Innovate Part" is a feature (or function) of the software, hence the proper spelling. And the INOVATE is a trademarked product name and Malcom makes a good case, but at the end of the day I personally think is just a marketing strategy or play on words sort to speak.

Never Mind, I forgot that we can use regular intellishapes in sheet metal. Attached is completed file for anyone intrested.

I do alot of corrugate packaging design and forcing sheet metal into cardboard characteristics is not easy.
Anyway, anyone have an idea how I can create this tabbed bend? I have attached scene file.

Hi David,
Thes may be helpful if you interested In IronCAD Mechanical:

Yup using IronCAD and Blender is very difficult from a UI standpoint. Blender extremely difficult to learn. If you use it casually its twice as hard since you forget alot ( at least for me).
The new release is better, but a long way to go to get it user friendly. I think mainly becuause it uses highly technical nomenclature which for a layment is extremely hard.

Spencer, great work! yeah Blender is probably the master of physics modeling even more than commercially pricey programs. Anyway, I use ScreentoGif for screen capture, so maybe it will help you in your Gif needs

Malcolm, this is exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for illustrating this . I did notice that you didn't drop door onto the "edges" but somehow the bottom of doorways aligned to floor, how did you do that?

Thanks Cary,
I think an ER is great. BTW, if I drop to an edge or the face the same problem persists.

Hi Cary, thanks for this video very helpful, however I was trying to get away from AP's mainly because the base shape (room) can be modified to different shape and add walls etc. So I cannot predict what will be modified. So I was hoping there was a way to "assign" a option at the intellishape level to make sure one of its "axis" can be directed to coincide with either an X, Y, Z axis. Make sense?

For the life of me I can get the doorway intellishape to be applied to walls in the same orientation. Currently I have to rely on the TriBall but that's a nuisance.
Does anyone know a way to get the intellishape to always orientate correctly according to the wall dropped on? Basically always aligning Z axis or similar.
thanks

Hi RJ
I have the same zooming issues, but at the end of the day I would never give up the Spacemouse. It appears this only happens on newer Windows 10 and with Spacemouse.
My Spacepilot on older Windows works perfect.

Great Tip Joe!

Here in NY there's way too many signs, so I ignore them all. However the one I can't ignore I see more often now.

Trying to make a what I though was fairly simple handle. However when I loft using sketch as guide curve I cant stop the profiles from "twisting".
I think this should work but not sure why not.

I have be asked to share my IronCAD Scene color settings with others. I thought that info is carried in the XML files, but it appears its not, is there a way to send a "color" setting file?

I like too, just would like the ability to have the browser OPEN by default. The less I have to "teach" customers the better.
