U used to be able to download the devolpment tools for the Labtec devices,
I don't know if that is still possible but maybe then we could team up and write oure own interface to IronCAD.
I also have a labtec device laying around. would be cool to finaly use it.

sorry I haven't had much time but i'll try to free some time in the weekend to
put things together
it would make a pretty neat tool
is there anyone that could make a vb application of it as soon as i have the excel sheet?
-
i' am still on it. but i'am quite bussy. (need to get some work done here aswell ).
thing is IronCAD does not like more than 100 coordinates for my 3d spline.
and i had about 30000 so i'am trying to cut back on that
by the way the name of the curve u want to use is an arcemedean spiral
i am using that formula in my exel sheet
combined with the formula for anormal spiral
i'll keep u all posted

You can copy views and detail etc. to the same or a different sheet by pressing "Ctrl" while draging the view (notice the + sign at the cursor).
dragging with the richt mouse will work also but in my case it creates empty views. once u have copied the view u can move it to anothet sheet by draging
it on the tab of that particular sheet.
have fun trying

Wim to run IC on XP you will have to wait for
the next release because IC 5 is not certified for XP
an may cause unexpected behavior.

does the export fail if u combine all the shapes?
-
in your explorer copy the .icd
rename the ics. to file-name_old1.ics or somthing
open the .icd in ironcad and update
Ironcad will now ask u to find the scene file
just point to the last saved version and
u are good to go

Does anyone experience this
create a part and assign the part name, number and discription
copy and link the part x times
now unlink all parts
change the part and name and number
in my case the part number is still linked
which is quite annoying because now my BOM
is incorrect.

IronCAD is right up there

WindowsXP - Anyone using it?

Ok here we go.
There isn't a lot of difference between Linux and OS X
exept that Linux Is a lot more secure, free and runs
on any freaky peace of hardware.
Think about running IronCAD on linux embedded in
a milling machine, or on your watch for all i care.
I also think Making IronCAD available om multiple platforms
(MAC, LInux, Windows and Unix.) could be interresting.
untill then XP is the way to go I think.
