  1. This relational database ( MS ACCESS 2000 format) can be useful for managing documents and drawing naming. It is also possible to search. Rom for 1 000 000 or more document numbers. You have to have Microsoft Access version 2000 or later to use it.
  2. The pattern feature is a powerful thing to use. It is created with the Triball. -To make a rectangular pattern first select what you want to "patternize". A hole or something. -Triball on. -Rightmouse a outer red Triball handle, and then rightmouse the second Triball handle. The reason that two handles have to be selected is that a 2D orientation have to be done. After the creation o the pattern, it will show in the scenbrowser and in the scene. You can drag and drop Assys, Parts and Intellishapes in and out of the pattern structure, in the browser. Just make sure you drop on the right ikons in the browser. -If you dont see any pattern (the patternfeature itself) in the scene, rightmouse the scene/ Show, select Show pattern.
  3. CE label to use. Rightmouse and "Save as"
  4. Rightmousing a 2D View gives this option to hide one ore more parts.
  5. It's easy to remove (hide) all tread notes at once, on a specific view in 2D.
  6. This is more editable than standard lines and textboxes. Note that you can have this table and still have your BOM on the drawing.
  7. You can do this by applying one decal as a texture. Do this with "Slide projektion". Then apply a decal at the surface level. Can be useful to use the "See trough" with "White pixels" to get the decal on top of the texturedecal. Se attatched .ics and images.
  8. It seams that you can apply 2 decals at the same surface, once per part.
  9. I can be a good way to always use the same filename for 2D drawings as the 3D scene there are based on. A simple way to do this when you save a 2D drawing is, during the filesaving, change the "File format" from deafult *.ICD to "All files *.*. This makes all your other files show in the folder. Then simply click on the 3D scenefile (from wish the 2D was built) to copy the filename into the dialog. Then change the filename from .ICS to .ICD manually. Less spelling error is one thing you get.
  10. I think I miss something cause it works 100% IronCAD 6.0 Update 1

  18. You can create custom sheetmetal Intellishapes as the images shows. The trick to make the Intellishapes to have more properties is to first create them on a standard solid, then drag them to a catalog end then drop them on a sheetmettal part. You can add things like draft and bevels to the Intelishapes properties while they live on a standard part. Those will be maintained on sheetmetal. Try to drop the shape in this catalog on a sheetmetal part: Robert Andersson
  19. Sometimes you may want to control hove IronCAD places the Loft crossections during path in deep. To do that, rightmouse the lofted shape in Intellishape mode. Make sure you right mouse with the mouse arrow NOT over any handle or number, only over "clean" Intellishape geometry. -Select "Edit match points" from the meny. A blue line shows. Now you can select wich crossection you want to change. Do that with a click on that specific crossections number. -A little handle shows where the blue line meets the selected crossection. -Drag that handle to a line/ curve intersection of choise. -IronCAD updates the loft. 20. If you are doing a "Save as" and the filename already exists in the folder, it's a good practice to NEVER wrigth over that existing file. Instead select the existing file in the "Save as" dialog, by clicking on it (once) and hit Delete on the keyboard. Then you can get the old file back from the trashcan if you did something wrong. You can also rename existing files and change fileproperties in the very same "Save as" dialog. This is not only for IronCAD, but for all Windows program use. Robert Andersson
