    I think Tom is correct. Decal's don't have a tile pattern setting (only textures but they don't have the cut-out options).

    Ok, as i suspected.

    The reason i ask is that now i have to make textures of different sizes and try to make them align when doing walkways and so.

    And that is just not something that is either fun or productive.

    I may be missing something but the "mask-out" image has no background but has a transparent background when viewed in any other image software.  See the screenshots:

    Not if i save the file from the render window, maybe if i am rendering directly to a file, never tried that.

    Or have i missed something?

    It is the background colour i want to be able to change when rendering images with the mask-out background checkbox checked.

    As default it is black.

    Are you talking about the 2D Drawing on Text - Text Mask?

     

    If so, yes you can set a color. On the property page of the text, you can set the fill color.

    Hi,

     

    i tried the ic9-version.

    The path for ironcad after the install is now: bin\ironcad.exe "%1"

    and it should be: "C:\Program Files\IronCAD\9.0\bin\ironcad.exe"

    Do you know how that can be?

    I can change it but it won`t stay there after a restart of the computer

    I've installed it & it works pretty well. All .ics files now open with IronCAD if I double-click them in Windows Explorer.

     

    Nevertheless, you can't keep Microsoft down. Outlook comes up at the top of the "Open With..." menu and the next time I rebooted & started Outlook, all the .ics files switched back to calendar icons (but they still open in IronCAD when I double-click them.)

     

    I guess Microsoft just knows better than we do - .ics just has to be a calendar file.  rolleyes.gif

    Yes i know, thats why i made it as an install application and not a reg file, sometimes you need to run it every time you start windows.

     

    sometimes its enough to rightclick on the .ics file and choose open with ironcad after you run icsReclaim, that helps sometimes.

     

    Or try to set outlook to not check if it is the default app for email and calender files, works fore some versions of office.

    It deletes assosiation to outlook and creates a new one

    to the IronCAD.Scene class and sets the shell/open to Ic

     

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.ics\ironCAD.Scene

    HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IronCAD.Scene\shell\open\command\C:\Program\IronCAD\10.0\bin\ironcad.exe "%1"

     

    I will fix support for v9 next week.

     

    Progress With Ic10

    Thought i just check how all users are coping with the state Ic10 is in (i know i nagged about this before and a i know you are doing the best you can, but anyway).

    We lost one employee last week because of ic10, we have already so little time to do things and with ic working this poorly he could just not take it, and

    my boss i forcing me to review other cad software.

    Sad but true.

     

    So the question is, how are you all coping?

    I agree about our support in sweden, and ive been nagging them as well.

    the printing thing is just an example, had it been a 30$ software i could have accepted the fact that i cant trust a print.

    But this is a expensive product and you really think that you should be able to use it.

    Thank you for the workarounds on bugs and so on.

    But what i really want to know is when is the bug fixed?

    filed to R&D does not help me, should i wait for a fix or find another way around the problem.

     

    When will i be able to trust that the print or export (for example) will be as it is in ironcad, all lines are printed, all bubbles and so on.

    When can i use the functions i payed for?

     

    I cant use ironcad to be productive, it is more like i am working like a beta tester than working with construction. (Maybe i should send you my CV to start working at your Q&A department wink.gif

    My boss is getting irritated and i am finding excuses for not moving to another cad system.

     

    Any one else feel like this?

    It would be nice if we could get some info about you're progress, i rather get "we are so stuck right now" than nothing, its just so frustating to wait and not be able to plan ahead.

    Sorry, i know its going to be released when its released and it don't help if i whine about it.

    But i cant help my self, when is it going to be released?, i hoped friday, then monday then tuesday, now its today and no one has heard a thing more then this
