  1. Hi,

I have attached a simple channel with a weight of 10.2 kg per mtr, the channel in the scene is 1mtr lg - the units in the scene are set at, as I work in, Millimeters and Kilograms.

Never was any good at maths, wish I'd studied !

    Thanks for your help

  2. Sorry ~ Still confused and losing the plot.

Say, a channel weighs 10.2 kg/per mtr - in a scene I produce this channel and make it 1mtr long, the weight of this part should then read 10.2 kg from the Analysis tool bar

I've input the mass density of the material as 10.2 from the part properties although do not end up back with 10.2 on the Analysis ???

    Thanks

    Dave

  3. It is the DWG Export issue, thing is, its causing a problem as a lot of our details are forwarded, due to urgency via email to the Arch/Engs who unfortunately run AutoCad.

I'm having to make my excuses and use the postal system which will be accepted for a certain amount of time - but will cause problems sooner or later

Let me know the results as soon as poss

    Thanks

  4. Could anyone advise ~ when exporting a Drawing File to AutoCad Dwg or DXF I receive a message which states "there has been an unhandled exception" this in turn does not allow our clients who run AutoCad to open the file?

    Thanks for any help

  5. I know this question has probally been asked before although I am unable to find a safe answer thoughout the forum - I need a sheet metal size of 4.5 mm and 6 mm (thick). I've looked at the tooltbl.txt file and all items are in English not Metric, as you can appreciate I am a little nervous changing things I know nothing about !

Any help would be gratefully accepted.

Hi all, quick bit of help would be great if you could, the attached shows two beams, one coming in at 30 degs, i cant seem to find the correct way of 'butting' the two together without moving the other end or the vertical beam

Any help would be much appreciated.

  7. Had a irritating problem throughout today, currently using a brand new Dell Precision 450 Desktop - single Xeon 2.8 GHz with a 128 MB nVidia QuadroFX 500 Graphic Card (well 4 weeks old actually) on Win XP SP1 Pro.

Keep getting a warning message saying 'Available Memory is Low, Please close other applications, save your work and restart IronCad. Additionally you may want to increase your Virtual Memory'.

The file I'm using is not that large so dont really know how to resolve this issue.

    Any ideas ?

  8. I've checked the dongle on another computer, which, as I thought worked fine. Personally I dont believe it to be a I.C issue so dropped the Computer off with the so called experts to check it over. I was due to get ot back earlier today, then later today, then late this afternoon, now tomorrow, more that likely Monday !

Once I finally do get it back I'll download the drivers required, I'm sure this will correct the problem I've got.

I'd like to thank you, I.C and the community for all the help I've received since obtaining the software a few months ago.

I'll let you know if the downloads work.

    Thanks Again

  9. I dont believe it to be the dongle, if you start Ironcad it does go into the trial mode (expired). On checking through the device manager it does'nt have the driver to run the usb token and asks where to locate it.

I'll try the dongle on a different PC tomorrow and let you know

    Thanks for your help

  10. Wim - Thanks for the help, unfortunately I cannot work out a way of getting the intersection correct - ran out of time so opted to Draw on the Old 2D system. Thanks for your help though.

By the way - your English is far better than my Dutch !

    Regards

  11. Oh, pushing my luck here I know but one other problem I need to resolve - one section of the cylinder needs to be at 1100 high whilst the sloping one needs to be at 916, how would you ensure that the correct measurements are maintained and the 'natural' intersection point of the two. (Its a Staircase Balustrade by the way)

    Thanks Again

  12. Whats the best way of joining two pipes (48.3 x 3.2) together which are, say one horizontal and one joining at 37° ?, bit stuck at the moment and need to get this out.

    Thanks

  13. Could anyone give me a bit of advise - I have a Scene which contains heaps of parts, what's the best way of selecting the individual parts for detailing ?. I cant really use the config as there's too many parts. I first thought that it would be a good idea to create a seperate 'Temp' scene and copy the parts individualy from the original scene and then create the detail, delete the copied part and start again - that does'nt seem to work very efficiently.

I would of liked to of been able to pick a single part in the scene, create the detail and then supress that part until the complete scene has been supressed - I would then know that I had'nt missed any of the parts within the scene.

    Any Ideas ?

    Dave
