  1. I found this tutorial extremely helpful...You can apply the same "use edge" with the right mouse button click on sheetmetal parts.. This will give more flexability when moving or re-sizing sheetmetal parts with bends, that way you can simply move the bend or sheetmetal edge to the next surface, and have all the features follow.
  2. Is there any way to toggle through/filter or get IronCAD to select hidden edges/geometry? Maybe the filter system needs some improvement? I am having trouble getting the current selection filter (or others in the small pulldown) to select certain edges ... ex. if I wanted to apply a feature or round to a hidden edge. I notice that if I am using the triball to move a part it will toggle through or highlight hidden geometry. Any ideas on what I may be missing?
  3. Think I got it.... you just edit the cross section and draw the new profile you want.... correct me if I am wrong...
  4. I haven't been able to get the "curved stock" and " add curved stock " features to work correctly... I would think that you should be able to simply drop the feature on a sheetmetal edge, but then I haven't been able to create a radius of any type... it's just another flat piece... What am I missing?
  5. So far I haven't run into any limitations per-say, but just depending on how complex the motion is it may take some time to get them all in , meaning how many individual animation commands will be needed for each section ( or degree or angle ) of motion. I modeled a crank and rod assembly pretty easily, just took time since I had to think and calculate what the path of the crank end of the rod would take. (big end making a circle while rotating and moving linear...etc.) Now I am modeling the path for a rotary engine... thats entirely different!
  6. Does anybody know of a way to do an exploded view in a drawing? I haven't been able to find a way to save a particular view, then use it where needed... I think an option like that would work.
